For sports fans: Frame rate matters more here, but it only matters if the bitrate supports it. Look for services that specifically call out their sports tier infrastructure — dedicated sports streams with higher bitrate allocations are a sign the provider actually understands the technical requirements.

For mixed-use households: The best services are the ones that handle frame rate adaptively — delivering content at its native frame rate with enough bitrate to make it look right. That's harder to build and more expensive to run, which is why it's also a reliable signal of a provider that knows what they're doing.

The Bottom Line

Frame rate is a tool, not a trophy. Higher isn't universally better — it's contextually better, and only when the rest of the delivery chain can support it. A lot of IPTV providers have figured out that listing 60fps costs them nothing in marketing but can actually reduce their delivery overhead if they use it as cover for lower per-stream bitrates.
